Fr Kanaga, representative of the Rector Major visits DBTI

On Tuesday, 19 March, the IT students of DBTI (duty Class of the week) welcomed Fr Kanaga at Henderson airport.

He is on an official visit to the Don Bosco Institutions in Solomon Islands and Papua New Guinea.

Fr Kanaga is one of the Councillors of the World Body of the Salesians of Don Bosco, serving in 132 countries.

He is expected to visit Don Bosco RTC and Christ the King Parish on Friday 22 April.

On Tuesday evening Fr Kanaga paid a visit to Archbishop Adrian Smith.

On Wednesday morning, 20 April, Fr Kanaga presided over the Eucharistic Celebration at DBTI, and later he met with the staff.

He spoke to the Bosconians about “Vocation in life” insisting on a sense of purpose and direction in life.

He spent the evening in meetings with the Salesians of Henderson and Tetere.

On Thursday, he met the SRC (Students Representative Council), and in the evening a small group of Salesian Co-operators.

In the evening he gave the final conference to the Salesians.

Before he left for Tetere on Friday 22 April, he addressed the staff and students at the morning assembly.
