CONSERVATION SITES in West Are’Are of Malaita Province will soon benefit from a project proposal workshop aimed at equipping them with knowledge and skills that can help them apply for donors or funds for assistance.

In an interview with this paper yesterday, Coordinator of Wai-Hau Conservation, Mr Flex Naitoro said this three-day workshop will include Hahorarumu, Harisiharai and Wai-Hau conservation organisations in West Are’Are.

“During the three-day workshop the participants will learn more on proposal writing where it will allow them to write project proposals by themselves.

“The important aspect of this workshop is that with the knowledge and skills the participants will acquire, it will help us in terms of seeking assistance for the development of our conservation sites,” he said.

Mr Naitoro uttered that the workshop will start today and end this Saturday.

Participants expected to take part in the workshop are; six from Hahorarumu, 10 from Harisiharai, also about 10 from Wai-Hau and 3 from the surrounding area of West Kwaio.

The workshop is organised by Opportunity Solomon Institute and Research and will be led and facilitated by Dr Morris Oto.
