DEAR EDITOR, the administration with the Human resources Managers continuous silence over the rights of the SPO’s employees must not allowed to die naturally.
They must be accountable and responsible for all the employees’ rights and plights.
If they want to hold the trust of Business partners, shareholders, employees and the people of Solomon Islands, this un-countable characters has to be re-surfaced to seek justification and eventually make changes.
Couple of days ago over top two managers has been jumping up and down to clarify themselves but choose to remain realise that the very action they demonstrated has created an ethical flaw that has the potential and compromises personal and leadership values.
Being silent means either guilty or using the tactic of ‘’Silence and golden”.
They were supposed to be ashamed of their detestable actions, only ignorant people will ever again trust their leadership because they lied through their teeth to save their faces but fail to plea for remorse.
May I ask you, whose company is this? And at whose interest were those conflict of interest? The employee’s traumas area far from over. This because they didn’t understand why they had to suffer such treatments. Until corrupt is surfaced and removed then SPO’s true picture will be seen.
People grievances were not devices that could be tossed about in exchange for creed, political interest and selfish attitude. It’s genuine to be fair with equal privileges, and stop conflicts of interest.
However, it must set the highest tone to the administration that people money used to purchase and build SPO is a public interest. More significantly, it’s a local owned business and must not be abused for personal interest.
Those who dream and aspire for their own benefits. For me. Lasting impression depends entirely in truths with reforms. Indeed, we have witnessed the bright face of SPO, to say at least that SPO boost everything but for us ordinary employees we have suffered modern slavery.
I see no reason for the administration to be remain silent and prolong this issues of the employees. No reasons to hold back. If you feel that your status is being ruined then resign or give way for people with good vision and values which you have always hold of.
God bless
