Western United FC leading goal scorer and golden boot race leader James Naka says scoring goals makes him happy and is looking forward for their remaining matches.

Naka who extended his goal tally of 15 to 18 with a hat trick in their 6-0 win over West Honiara FC at Lawson Tama on Sunday.

“Yeah I feel happy that I was able to maintain my tally that is why I try my best to finish any chances that come my way.

“Sometimes I miss my chances but when I score I’m happy,” Naka told Sun SPORTS after their victory.

Western United FC who are currently third on the competition ladder with 24 points will take on table leaders Solomon Warriors FC 4pm this Saturday.

A match both Head Coach Commins Menapi and James Naka look forward to.

The race is quite interesting so far. All the teams are close on points and like I told the boys we cannot afford to lose or giveaway points.
