THE DEMOCRATIC Coalition for Change Government now needs to put their promises into action regarding development.
John Safanamae makes this call, saying that the DCCG is approaching halfway of its term but little is seen in terms of development in the country.
Adding that the people are willing to work and resources are still out there.
He advises that what the government should do is look for the resource owners they can dialogue with and work easily with.
Mr Safanamae said it is very important not only to depend on the major projects in the country alone to do developments.
“The government needs to start with small projects like cocoa, copra and others where it will not cause must attention from people to speak a lot.
“As we can see within our provinces, there are lots of cocoa farms and other agriculture projects are laying idle without support from the government.
“This is where the government should come in, revisit those projects and improve it or the livelihood of the people.
“And this is what people are familiar with. Start with smaller projects and you will have chance to proceed on to the major projects.
“Government needs to know that our people are very critical, means they must see success at the first place before allowing work on their resources to proceed on to the next stage,” he said.
